I am
SorceressMiklai and this journal will stand as a testament to account for all
my pirating adventures. Since this is just the beginning I guess I should start
by telling you a bit about myself in this first post.
I started playing
Pirate101 in Beta on August 3, 2012. I continued playing once the game went
live on October 8th and have been going steadily ever since. I made the
transition from Wizard101 because I decided to take a break from questing my 84
(yes, I have 14 accounts! :P ) wizards. Though, I also have 14 accounts on
P101, I only have 11 active pirates at the moment. There are 6 on my first
account and 5 on my second. Trust me, it's a LOT hard to dual or quad box on
P101 than it is on W101! LOL
I LOVE being a
part of the P101 community! I post on the P101 Official Forums and P101Central along
with commenting on other Official (and not so Official) fansites & P101
blogs. I am the Senior Editor for Petnome Project (W101) and her sister site,
the newly launched Petnome Pirates! I also admin the Petnome Project Page on
Facebook as well as being the newest moderator (as of yesterday :) ) for
StormGate Pirates. I am part of the Merc101 team. I am retired (for the time
being) from Mercs4Hire but I do assist other pirates on the Mercs4Charter side
of the group. You can also see me chirping to the other #Twizards and #Twirates
on Twitter. Just look for SorceressMiklai :)
I don't excel at
just one class of pirates because I prefer the diversity that each one has to
offer. There are so many different aspects that make playing P101 so much fun: The
variety of companions that are determined by your class, how you were orphaned,
or any that you buy when you unlock them can add spice to your storyline and
dialogues. The different battle techniques, the battleboard, Power cards, Epic
Abilities, and weapons can all create new dimensions to add to your own play style.
The worlds and storyline are just breathtaking and so interesting!
I have taken
thousands of pictures of drops, funny screenshots, and my companions'
promotions. I have also done a few guides that I hope will prove to be useful
to anyone in need of them. Anything that I do will almost always be from a PvE
viewpoint since I don't do PvP.
On P101C I am in
charge of a few Indexes to help keep track of other players' progresses and
achievements. Feel free to check them out and add your own pirates!
Multi/Maxed OutPirate Index-If you have more than one pirate who is a minimum level of 5 then include them here! This Index is broken down into two sections. Multiple pirates for if you have 2 or more pirates who at least level 5 and up. The Multi Maxed Out Pirates is to list at least 2 or more of your pirates who are all at the highest level of the game (currently 65).
Level 50+Index-Have a pirate who is minimum level 50? Include them on this Index to be sorted by level and class. When they reach highest level in the game, there picture will be included to show all of P101C who you are.
Swashbuckler Index-Are you a student of Morgan LaFitte? Quick on your toes and as sharp as the rapier you use to strike with? Then you need to be included here amongst the rest of the Swashbucklers.
Witchdoctor Index-Do you practice in the arts of Hoodoo? Like summoning minions to aide you in battles? Then add your Witchdoctor to this Index.
As you can see I
stay plenty busy! However, I do take time out to enjoy other things, too.
I love music! All kinds of music as long as I
can sing (horribly), dance (ridiculously), or just enjoy it, then it's the kind
of music for me :D I listen to a lot of rock; Classic, Heavy Metal, 80's Hair
bands, Oldies, Southern, Blues-y, and Alternative. I also listen to Hip-Hop/Dance,
Country, Classical, Irish, Celtic, and some of Today's Hits. Right now as I'm
typing this my RdioStation is playing Disturbed, Nickelback, Sam Cooke, Audioslave, Bad
Company, Tom Petty, The Script, Europe, Waylon Jennings, Kelly Rowland, Fleetwood
Mac, George Strait, and Godsmack. Yep, I'm an eclectic!
I also love
reading. Reading is one of my passions that I don't think I could EVER give up.
I like to read all genres and I am not particular about the age group. Fantasy,
horror, and mysteries/suspense are mostly my favorite. I also love a lot of the
new series that are out now for Young Adults. My favorite authors are Stephen
King, Dean Koontz, Ed McBain, VC Andrews, Brandon Mull, Rick Riordan, and JK
Rowling of course.
Movies are always
fun to relax to. Give me a horror, comedy, or fantasy/sci-fi movie and I'm good
to go. I am particularly fond of cheesy 80's movies, period pieces and Epic
movies. Some of my favorites are Willow, Labyrinth, Mask, Lord of the Rings
trilogy, Harry Potter, Three Musketeers, The Man in the Iron Mask, Knight's
Tale, Disney movies, Night of the Dead movies, Resident Evil, Halloween, Ever
After, and anything with Johnny Depp <3
I also like
certain TV shows or made for TV movies. So much so that I actually bought the entire series or all the seasons on DVD. LOL 21 Jump Street, Quantum Leap, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Xena: Warrior Princess, NCIS, Law & Order: SVU, Criminal
Minds, Spartacus, & Camelot are just a few of my favorite TV shows. Mini-series/Made for TV movies that I like are North & South (1985), Steven Spielbergs Taken (2002), Stephen King's The Stand (1994) & V: The Final Battle (1984).
Now you know a bit
more (probably MUCH more than you cared to) about me.
Until we meet in
the Skyways...

What, do you not like Once Upon a Time (regular and In Wonderland) along with the Percy Jackson Movies (Lightning Thief and Sea of Monsters)?
ReplyDeleteI like a lot of stuff that would have been more than what I wanted to cover in this one introductory post.
DeleteYes, I do like the Once Upon a Time series. I only have Netflix so I don't keep up with it regularly.
As for Percy Jackson, I DID list Rick Riordan as one of my favorite authors (PJ&tO, The Heroes of Olympus, & even his adult books based in San Antonion about private investigator Tres Navarre). I own the DVD for the Lightning Thief but felt it betrayed the book so...eh. As of this writing I have not seen Sea of Monsters yet.
I can't wait to see more blog posts from you!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I can't wait to write up more :)
DeleteI hope you enjoy them all!
